| 3 LAHDC Councilors resign | | | Early Times Report Ladakh, June 9: As per the council secretariat, Dorjay Motum executive councilor, (Health), Stanzin Delik, executive councilor (CA & PD) and Tsering Norboo, Lampa executive councilors, (Agri/Edu) have tendered their resignations to the chief executive councilor, LAHDC, here today. As per press release, chief executive councilor, has accepted their resignation with immediate effect. In the meantime, the CEO has inducted Tsering Angchok, Coulcillor Panamik, Dorjay Stanzin, councilor Tangtse and Phuntsog Stanzin, councilor Skurbuchan in the executive council of LAHDC Leh as executive councilors. CEO said that the portfolio of the new executive councilor will be allotted soon. Pakistan should act against terrorists, says PM New Delhi June 9 Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today urged Pakistani leaders to show courage by taking action against terrorists who have committed crimes against India. Speaking in parliament, he said Pakistan needed to take "strong and sustained action" to prevent the use of its territory against Indian interests and to "bring to justice those who have committed such crimes in the past". Such terrorists include those who masterminded the attack on Mumbai in November last year, he said. "Such action will be welcomed by the people of both countries," he said, addressing both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members. "If the leaders of Pakistan have the courage, determination and statesmanship to take this road to peace, we will meet them more than half way."
