JAMMU, June 25: As part of its sustained efforts to maintain peace, strengthen security, and prevent anti-social and unlawful activities, Jammu Police conducted a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in various sensitive and identified hotspot locations within the jurisdiction of Police Station R.S. Pura on June 24, 2026, from 1700 hours to 1930 hours.
The operation was conducted jointly by Police Station R.S. Pura, personnel of 165 Battalion BSF, and CISF 262 Battalion. The CASO covered several locations in the Chakroi area, including residences of persons with previous criminal antecedents, different houses in Village Joura Farm, an abandoned structure in the village, and the nearby ditch/nallah area. Similar search operations were also carried out in the Baspur Bangla area.
During the operation, all identified locations were thoroughly searched in the presence of family members and occupants while strictly adhering to legal procedures. However, no suspicious person, contraband substance, incriminating material, or objectionable article was found during the searches.
The operation remained peaceful throughout and concluded smoothly without any untoward incident. Following the completion of the searches, No Damage Certificates were obtained from the family members and occupants of the houses where the CASO was conducted.
Jammu Police remains committed to maintaining law and order, ensuring public safety, and taking proactive measures against criminal and anti-social elements. Such operations will continue to be conducted regularly to strengthen the security environment and enhance public confidence.
