More than 30,000 people from all over the state participated in the camp. In continuation of the old traditions, National Integration Camp was held this year which had been initiated in 1978 by Prof. Bhim Singh when he was elected Member of Legislative Assembly from Chenani. Sudhmahadev dates back to thousands of years since Lord Shiva married Parvati in Mantalai, six kms. from Sudhmahadev and came to rest in Sudhmahadev where he killed Rakshas Sudha who attained a vardan from Shiva and thus this land came to be call Sudha Mahadev.

The National Integration Camp with Pritibhoj (Mahayagya) was organized every year by the Panthers Party under the patronage of Prof. Bhim Singh. Prof. Bhim Singh represented Sudhmahadev-Chenani Constituency from 1977-1987 in the Legislative Assembly and Mr. Faqir Nath represented this area from 2002-2007.

Many resolutions were adopted in the camp seeking intervention of Planning Department of Government of India to provide a financial package for the development of the area comprising the hilly belt of Billawar-Basohli-Bani, Basantgarh-Dudu, the entire Sudhmahadev-Mantalai, Marmat, Lati, Jakhed and Sira-Pattan areas as national tourism spot. The resolution demanded Rs.500 crores to be earmarked in the current five year plan for the development of tourism in the said area which the resolution said can fetch 10,000 foreign tourists every year to Jammu Pradesh and become a potential job-oriented project in the state. The resolution also demanded to declare the hill areas of Kishtwar, Doda, Ramban, Rajouri, Poonch and Reasi as national tourist resorts in Jammu. It demanded further investment of Rs.1000 crores for the promotion of tourism in Jammu Pradesh.
