Crime Branch EOW Jammu presents chargesheet against two accused persons for securing Govt job using fake school leaving certificate

JAMMU, June 25: On the written complaint of Khursheed Ahmed Naik S/o Mohd. Sadiq Naik R/o Sarachi, Tehsil Khari, District Ramban, a case FIR No. 33/2025 U/S 420, 465, 466, 467, 468, 471, 120-B RPC was registered in Crime Branch EOW Jammu.
During the course of investigation, it was established that the accused had allegedly prepared and used forged school leaving certificate to secure a Govt. job in the year 2016 in Social Welfare Department Khari Ramban and thereby cheating the department causing huge loss to state exchequer. The investigation revealed sufficient evidence regarding the preparation and use of the fake certificate for wrongful gain.
After completion of investigation, I.O of the case Inspector Meenu Sharma of Crime Branch EOW, Jammu has presented the chargesheet before the Hon'ble Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ramban against accused namely (1) Ghulam Nabi Naik S/o Abdul Aziz Naik (2) Shakeela Bano D/o Ghulam Hassan Naik, both R/o village Khari, District Ramban. It was found during investigation that Ghulam Nabi Naik, who is the father-in-law of Shakeela Bano, allegedly assisted in the preparation and use of forged school Leaving Certificate, which was subsequently used to obtain employment in the Social Welfare Department, Khari, Ramban.
SSP Crime Branch EOW, Jammu Faisal Qureshi reiterates its commitment to taking strict action against individuals involved in forgery, fraud, and other unlawful activities, and appeals to the general public to report such cases so that the culprits are brought to justice.
