JAMMU, June 27: To ensure the safe and smooth conduct of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026, GRP Jammu has been conducting series of mock drills at vulnerable & red spot locations in the Jurisdiction from Lakhanpur to Manwal for operational preparedness, emergency response, and coordination among different security and civil agencies.
Recently, Mock drills were conducted at Railway Station Jammu and other Railway Stations in the Jurisdiction. The drills were carried out with the joint participation of District Police and other Sister agencies as responders during emergency.
During the mock drills, different emergency situations were created to test the preparedness of the security forces, emergency response, evacuation procedures, and coordination among all participating agencies. The exercises were completed successfully and reflected good coordination, alertness, and professionalism.
New technology gadgets were also used during the mock drill for aerial surveillance, monitoring the movement of participants, and assisting in the assessment of emergency response and coordination. |
