Early Times Report REASI, June 27: Demonstrating prompt action and effective inter-state coordination, Reasi Police successfully apprehended a couple wanted in a murder case registered in Uttarakhand and handed them over to the concerned police for further legal proceedings. Police Station Katra received information from Police Station Dhanya, District Almora, Uttarakhand, that one person, Dharambir, son of Vijender, resident of Sheikhpur, Hisar, Haryana, along with his wife Jhanki Devi, had allegedly committed a murder at their native place on 20.06.2026 and subsequently fled from Uttarakhand. It was further learnt that both the accused were presently staying in Katra. Acting swiftly on the information, a police team led by PSI Shubham Sharma was immediately deputed to track and apprehend the accused. Through prompt action and sustained efforts, the police team successfully located and apprehended both the accused from BNK Hotel, Main Bazaar, Katra. The concerned Police Station in Uttarakhand was informed immediately and after completing all necessary legal formalities, both the accused were handed over to them for further investigation and legal action.
