| NCP celebrates foundation day | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 10: Inaugurating week ling celebration of 11th foundation day of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) State NCP president and Farmer Minister Thakur Randhir congratulated Sharad Pawar Union Agriculture Minister and National President of NCP for the most glorious victory of UPA in the centre under the leadership of Dr. Manmohan Singh maintaining NCP own identity as a national party.
Singh said NCP under the leadership of Pawar has grown considerably during the past 10 years and its agenda of consolidating secular, nationalist and progressive forces is catching up fast across the country. The party has coalition at the national level, Maharashtra and Goa and MLA in many states of the country. The recent parliamentary elections and resounding victory of UPA is the result of untiring efforts of UPA leadership and its dependable allies NCP also congratulated Praful Patel Union Civil Aviation Minister and Agatha Sangma the youngest Minister representing NCP in the Union govt. The state NCP resolves that the peace process in Jammu and Kashmir must include the vital views and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Ladakh. The massage that only militancy pays, and Nationalist forces suffer, which has gained wide currency, must be nullified. He also stressed for setting up of delimitation commission to carve out assembly and parliamentary constituencies as per population in each region of the state. The reports of similar functions from different parts of the state are pouring. Present at the inaugural function were J A Khan, Kuldeep Sharma, Amrit Sagar, Gulab Chand Bhagat, Mohinder Singh Tahkur, Sham Gorkha, Ashok Jain, Prof P.D Shastri, S. Mohinder Singh.
