Early Times Report JAMMU, June 10: To encourage the players, Jammu and Kashmir Boules Sports Association, in a function held here today, felicitated the runners-up team in the 2nd Sub-junior National Boules Sports Championship held at Ahmadabad recently. About 12 teams, representing different states, took part in this three-day championship. In the final, J&K lost to Daman to contain with runners-up trophy. Earlier, in the league matches, J&K trounced Gujarat, Maharashtra and Delhi to top the pool. Later, in the semifinals, J&K outplayed Chattisgarh and reached the final. In the felicitation function, held at Jammu, among those present were Dr Taran Singh, president, Gurmit Singh, vice-president, Angat Singh, secretary, Arvinder Kumar, joint secretary, Surendra Walia, treasurer and G S Bakshi, advisor of the Association. The team: Bhupinder Singh, Sunil Kumar, Ashish Singh, Iqbal Singh, Sandip Kumar, Sunny Kumar and Suresh Kumar.
