| Samba police solves theft case; 4 accused arrested, stolen items recovered | | | Early Times Report SAMBA, July 2: Samba Police has successfully worked out a theft case registered at Police Station Purmandal by arresting four accused involved in the commission of the crime and recovering stolen items from their possession. On 25.06.2026, a written complaint was lodged at Police Station Purmandal by one lady namely Kunti Devi W/o Baldev Raj R/o Mandal tehsil Bari Brahmana district Samba. In her complaint, she alleged that her domestic helper, Meenu Kumari, had stolen a gold ring and cash from her residence. Acting upon the complaint, a case FIR No. 31/2026 u/s 305(a) BNS was registered at Police Station Purmandal and investigation started. During the course of investigation, a Police team of PS Purmandal after relentless efforts coupled with technical assistance, apprehended four accused persons involved in the commission of crime. The arrested accused persons have been identified as 1. Meenu Kumari W/o Sunil Kumar R/o Rajpura district Jammu at present residing Mandal tehsil Bari Brahmana district Samba, 2. Bablu Kumar S/o Kewal Krishan R/o Rajpura district Jammu, 3. Shami Kumar S/o Ashok Kumar R/o Rajpura at present residing Mandal tehsil Bari Brahmana district Samba and 4. Sushil Kumar S/o Banarsi Lal R/o Rajpura district Jammu. Further on the disclosure of said accused persons, stolen gold ring and cash amounting of Rs. 14,500.00 have been recovered. Further investigation of the case is going on. |
