| Samba police arrests drug peddler with 06.23 grams heroin like substance alongwith cash | | | Early Times Report SAMBA, July 2: Continuing its relentless drive against drug trafficking under the ongoing "Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan," Samba Police has achieved another success by arresting a drug peddler and recovering approximately 06.28 grams of heroin-like substance (Chitta) along with cash from his possession within the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur. A team of Police Station Vijaypur during patrolling in the area, laid a naka near Rahya Morh and intercepted a three-wheeler Auto load carrier bearing registration No. JK02BT-2942 which was coming from Ranjri side and moving towards NHW-44 side. During the search and checking of the vehicle, police recovered approximately 06.28 grams of heroin-like substance (Chitta) alongwith cash amounting to Rs. 5100.00 from the possession of the driver. The drug peddler identified as Ravinder Kumar S/o Gharu Ram R/o Suhawada district Jammu has been arrested and the contraband item alongwith cash has been seized. The auto load carrier involved in the commission of crime has also been seized by the police. A case FIR No.111/2026 U/S 8/21/22/25 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation started.
