JAMMU, July 4: The Inner Wheel Club Jammu Tawi, District 307, celebrated Doctors’ Day by felicitating senior doctors of MediCity Hospital, Channi Bypass, here today.
The event, held at 2:30 pm at MediCity Jammu, was organized to recognize doctors as true life-savers of the community. Club President Jaswant Kour, who also served as Project Director, led the programme along with Club Secretary Suresh Bala.
On the occasion, Senior Doctor Dr. Arun Dhotra delivered a lecture on cancer awareness. He urged the members to come forward and spread awareness among underprivileged girls and women so that the disease can be detected and treated at an early stage. The members assured him of their support in this noble cause.Doctors who were honoured were

4. Dr Umesh Sharma Internal Medicine
5. Dr Richu Sharma Medical Oncologye.
Members present included President Jaswant Kour, Secretary Suresh Bala, Tejinder Kaur (Addl. Secy), Vanita Kohli (Past President), Gurvinder Kaur (Vice President), Anju Khajuria (Editor), Daljeet Kaur, Ritu, Dr. Arti Bakshi, and Paramjit Kaur.
The doctors were honoured for their dedicated service and selfless contribution to healthcare. Club members expressed heartfelt gratitude to the medical fraternity for their tireless efforts in saving lives.
A total of 10 members participated in the project. Five doctors were felicitated as beneficiaries. An amount of Rs. 2,000/- was spent on the project. |
