Chandigarh, July 4: Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, India is on the path to becoming the world’s fourth-largest economy. Today, the country is witnessing record GST collections every month, symbolizing its growing economic strength. Chartered Accountants (CAs) have made a significant contribution to strengthening this tax system. The Chief Minister assured all possible government assistance regarding the request for five acres of land to establish a ‘Centre of Excellence’ for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in Panchkula. Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini was addressing the national conference for CA students, ‘Pragyaan 2026’, as the chief guest at the Indradhanush Auditorium today. Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated the conference by lighting the traditional lamp. Addressing the CA students, the Chief Minister said that their contribution is vital to realizing Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s vision of a Viksit Bharat. He emphasized that the blueprint and foundation of a developed India’s economic structure will be shaped by young professionals like them. Referring to an inspiring statement made by the Prime Minister at an ICAI programme, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that Sh. Narendra Modi had once remarked that a Chartered Accountant’s signature is even more powerful than that of the Prime Minister. He described this as the nation’s highest recognition of the integrity, honesty, and responsibility associated with the profession. The Chief Minister said that while governments formulate policies, schemes, and programmes, it is the signature of a Chartered Accountant that often influences the direction and health of the economy. He said that the theme of the conference, ‘Pragyaan Yash Ka Path’ conveys the message that success is not attained through talent alone but through hard work, integrity, discipline, and a commitment to lifelong learning. He added that the conference would provide participants with valuable opportunities through inspiring addresses by eminent speakers, student presentations, insightful discussions, networking sessions, and cultural programmes.
The Chief Minister further observed that while the term “CA” may appear to be just two letters to many, the pursuit of Chartered Accountancy is far from ordinary. He described it as a rigorous academic and professional journey that demands dedication, perseverance, and unwavering commitment. |
