Jammu, July 4: Live For Others – Being Helpful Foundation (NGO), in collaboration with Talla Jewellers, successfully organised Mission R-SAP (Remove Shyness Apply Pads) at Balgran, Channi Himmat, to promote menstrual hygiene awareness and ensure access to safe, sustainable menstrual products for young girls. The awareness session was conducted by Ms. Stuti Abrol, General Secretary, Jammu Province, who spoke about menstrual hygiene, health, and the importance of breaking myths associated with menstruation. During the programme, over 1,000 biodegradable Oxy sanitary pads were distributed free of cost among the beneficiaries. The team also spent time interacting with the children, making the programme engaging and memorable. Refreshments, including juice, chocolate biscuits, and chips, were distributed to all the children. Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Kashish Gupta, Chairperson of Talla Cares Foundation and CEO of Talla Jewellers, said, “Menstrual hygiene is a matter of health, dignity, and empowerment. Through Mission R-SAP, we are committed to creating awareness and ensuring that every girl has access to safe and sustainable menstrual hygiene products. Together, we can build healthier and more confident communities.” The activity saw enthusiastic participation from interns of Jammu and Udhampur under the supervision of Ms. Stuti Abrol. The interns included Arun, Ruhani, Mannat, Parul, Divyansh, Parnav, Vedant, Devashish, Gagan, and Devika. NGO volunteers Abhishek, Vidit, Kangan, Kashish, Devanshu, Vardhan, Pragi, Muskaan Sudan, and Nitika also played a vital role in the successful execution of the programme. |
