Early Times Report JAMMU, July 4: On July 3rd, at approximately 8:00 PM, a significant congestion occurred at the Baltal X-ray point due to a large influx of pilgrims. During this period of disarray, a couple, Ravi Pangwani and his wife from Chhattisgarh, reported the loss of one of their bags. They asserted that the bag contained an Apple iPhone, cash, jewelry, and crucial documents, and they insisted on remaining at the location until its recovery. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, Security Kashmir Team enlisted the assistance of the CCTV monitoring team. Through their efforts, an individual was identified removing the bag from the frisking point. Local tent operators subsequentlyidentified this individual as Gh Rasool who also operates a tent at the base camp. Secuirty Wing personnel and resources, Gh Rasool was located within 30 minutes, and the bag was recovered from his tent, where a group of eight pilgrims led by Arun Pladha from Madhya Pradesh were residing. Upon investigation, it was determined that Gh Rasool had inadvertently taken the bag along with the luggage of his guests, and it had been stored with other pilgrim bags in his tent. The bag was subsequently returned to the couple, who verified the contents. The couple expressed profound gratitude to the Jammu and Kashmir Police especially Security Kashmir Team for their instrumental role in the recovery of their belongings. |
