Adbi Kunj organized a special function and a multilingual poetic meet to mark the 611th birth anniversary of saint Kabir.
The said function was presided over by Smt. Nargis Sitara, Vice.President of the organization, while the proceedings were conducted by its Secretary, Sushil Begana.
In the onset Sham Talib read out a paper on the life and achievements of Sant Kabir. Thereafter various speakers including Talib Kashmiri, Com. Jaswant Singh, Smt. Nargis Sitara, Sushil Begana, S J S. Rissam and Rajeshwar Bhakri threw light on the teachings of Sant Kabir through his devotional poetry and laid stress on following in letter and spirit the principles of mutual brotherhood and coexistence taught by him.
This was followed by the poetic session in which the poets mostly recited poems etc. more or less on the rhythm and pattern of Sant Kabir’s couplets or Dohas and those who took part in it included J.S. Rissam , Chander Ved Prakash , Firdous Zeenat , Talib Kashmiri , Rakesh Kumar Tript Sham Talib, , M. S. Kamra , Nargis Sitara, Sushil Begana, Ayodhya Rani GamKhwar, Babli Zutshi , Tarsim Naveen, Com. Jaswant Singh . Rajeshwar Bhakri, and Muni Lal Puri .
The meet ended with vote of thanks presented by Com. Jaswant Singh , Chief Organiser, Adbi Kunj .
