| BJP chief ends 2-day tour of UP, relishes king of fruits | | | Early Times Report LUCKNOW, July 5: BJP national president Nitin Nabin concluded his two-day tour of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday with courtesy visits to the residences of Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Ministers Brajesh Pathak and Keshav Prasad Maurya, accompanied by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other senior BJP leaders. At Brajesh Pathak's residence, Nabin, Adityanath and other leaders sampled different varieties of mangoes, a speciality of Uttar Pradesh. In a post on X, Nabin said he savoured the state's famous mangoes during his visit to Lucknow. In a separate post, Pathak said BJP national president Nitin Nabin, Adityanath, state BJP president Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, Union Minister of State Pankaj Chaudhary, Maurya and other dignitaries relished the "king of fruits" at his residence. Later, Nabin visited the residence of Maurya, where he was welcomed with a traditional angavastram under the Panchsheel tradition and presented with a statue of Lord Buddha. Maurya said National General Secretary (Organisation) B L Santhosh, Adityanath and Chaudhary were also present. After tea and refreshments, Nabin left for the airport, marking the end of his visit. During his two-day stay, Nabin held a series of organisational meetings focused on preparations for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. On Sunday, he met NDA allies and expressed confidence that the alliance would return to power with a thumping majority in 2027. He also addressed the BJP's convention of Shakti Kendra convenors in the Awadh region alongside Adityanath and other senior party leaders.
