Early Times Report JAMMU, July 8: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, Shri Joginder Singh, chaired a crime review meeting at District Police Lines (DPL), Jammu, to assess the overall crime situation, law and order, and security arrangements across the district. The meeting was attended by all Zonal Superintendent of Police (SP's), Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs), Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs), Station House Officers (SHOs), In-charge Police Posts (ICPPs), and other supervisory officers. During the meeting, SSP Jammu reviewed the progress of investigation in important cases, disposal of pending cases, action against drug peddlers, proclaimed offenders, absconders, and history-sheeters. He directed officers to intensify efforts against drug trafficking, organised crime, bovine smuggling, illegal mining, and other criminal activities. Special emphasis was laid on maintaining foolproof security and ensuring effective law and order arrangements in view of the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra. Officers were instructed to remain alert, strengthen area domination, increase patrolling, and maintain close coordination with all security agencies. SSP Jammu also stressed the importance of public-friendly policing and directed officers to address public grievances promptly, strengthen community policing initiatives, and ensure quick response to emergency calls. He urged all officers to work with dedication, professionalism, and integrity to maintain peace, public safety, and a secure environment across District Jammu.
