| JMC enforcement team seize over 120 kg of polythene bags | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 11: The Jammu municipal corporation (JMC) while continuing the drive against use of polythene bags with in the municipal limits which have beer banned by the government under SRO-182 of 2009 seized polythene from shops/ rehries and others outlets from various areas like B.C. road, Rehari, New Plot, Ashok Nagar Satwari and Last Morh Gandhi nagar.
About 120 kg of polythene bags were seized by the teams of enforcement wing of corporation, headed by the chief enforcement officers carried out day long drive for seizing the polythene bags and also made the public aware of the various provision of the act banning the use of polythene bags.
Municipality once again an appeal to the general public to avoid the use of polythene bags and asked the trades to adopt alternate arrangements for sale of their commodities.
