| Campaign against polythene in Doda | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir State Pollution Control Board Doda organized awareness campaign in connection with World Environmental Week by interacting various sections of the society including Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Retailers Union, Hoteliers, NGOs, Sabzimandi Union, senior citizen, print and electronic media against polythene bags.
All participants were provided awareness about the hazards of polythene bags and were also given idea of replacing the polythene by using juta bags, paper bags and cloth bags which are eco-friendly also. Participants assured authorities that they will work in their respective areas to end the menace of polythene bags. Finally, District Officer T. S Chib extended vote of thanks. District Coordinator Atta-ullah-Nehru, Tirth Singh Bali, Prabhat Sharma, Kusam Manhas and other also attended the program.
