UDHAMPUR, July 10: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa, today chaired a meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee under the Mission YUVA scheme to review the progress and expedite the implementation of youth entrepreneurship initiatives across the district. The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Jugal Kishore, Assistant Director Employment, Priyanka Gupta, representatives from the banking sector, and other concerned officers. After detailed scrutiny and deliberations, the committee approved 295 cases for financial assistance under the Mission YUVA scheme, paving the way for aspiring entrepreneurs to establish and expand their business ventures. The DC directed the concerned departments to expedite the registration and processing of applications, encourage more youth to avail themselves of the scheme’s benefits and ensure minimum rejection of applications through proper guidance, counselling and handholding support. Emphasizing the need for greater coordination among all line departments and stakeholder agencies, the DC called for accelerating the pace of implementation to achieve the objectives of the scheme. He stressed the importance of maintaining transparency, ensuring the timely disposal of applications and extending all necessary support to deserving youth with viable business proposals, thereby promoting sustainable entrepreneurship and self-employment across the district. |
