NEW DELHI, July 10: Agriculture Insurance Company of India Limited (AIC), India's leading specialised agriculture insurer, has been honoured with the Impact Leadership Award at the 17th Agriculture Leadership Awards 2026 for its outstanding contribution to strengthening India's agricultural resilience through inclusive, technology-driven, and farmer-centric insurance solutions.
The award was presented by Shri Rajnath Singh, Hon'ble Raksha Mantri, Government of India, to Dr. Lavanya R. Mundayur, Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD), AIC, in recognition of the Company's transformative role in protecting millions of farmers through PMFBY and RWBCIS.
Beyond crop insurance, AIC has expanded risk protection through innovative insurance solutions for livestock, aquaculture, poultry, shrimp, and allied agricultural sectors.
