KULGAM, July 10: As part of the "My Youth My Pride" initiative of the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council, a Kabaddi tournament was organised today at Akhran Nawpora, Kulgam, aimed at promoting sports, encouraging youth participation, and nurturing sporting talent at the grassroots level. The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from 200 athletes representing 14 teams, with a large gathering of spectators adding to the excitement of the event.
The event was organised by the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council under the 'My Youth My Pride' programme, which continues to provide structured opportunities for youth across the Union Territory to participate in sports and showcase their talent at the grassroots level.
The tournament concluded successfully, fostering teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and healthy competition among participants, and received appreciation from athletes, spectators, and the local community for its organisation and contribution to grassroots sports development under the 'My Youth My Pride' programme. |
