RAJOURI, July 10: The Indian Army conducted a Cyber Fraud Awareness Lecture at Eklavya Model Residential School, Hubbi, to educate students and teachers about emerging threats in the digital environment. The session covered common forms of cybercrime, including online financial fraud, phishing links, identity theft, cyberbullying, fake social media accounts, password theft and misuse of personal information. Participants were advised to use strong passwords, enable two-factor authentication, avoid suspicious links, verify unknown callers and never share OTPs, banking details or confidential information online.
Army representatives also explained the importance of responsible social media use, privacy settings, secure browsing and timely reporting of cyber incidents. The interactive programme encouraged students to ask questions, discuss real-life examples and share the knowledge gained with their families and communities.
The initiative was appreciated by the school authorities and participants. It reaffirmed the Indian Army's commitment to empowering youth, promoting digital literacy and strengthening cyber safety awareness, enabling young citizens to navigate online platforms securely, responsibly and confidently in an increasingly connected world every day.. |
