Early Times Report LEH, July 10: Taking a major leap towards strengthening technical education and preparing Ladakh's youth for emerging technologies, Lieutenant Governor, Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena, today inaugurated the Centre of Excellence on Integrated Technologies - Srujan - at Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Leh. The Centre has been established under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited (KSSL), a subsidiary of Bharat Forge Ltd., with Scientech Technologies Pvt. Ltd. serving as the technical partner. Developed with an investment of over ?1.01 crore, the Centre has been equipped with advanced laboratory infrastructure, industry-grade equipment, simulation software and modern training systems to provide world-class technical education and industry-oriented skill development to the youth of Ladakh. The newly inaugurated Centre has been equipped with advanced technologies covering Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Electric Vehicle Technology, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Industrial Automation, Engineering Simulation Systems and Industry 4.0 technologies, enabling trainees to acquire practical competencies required by modern manufacturing and engineering industries. The Lieutenant Governor also interacted with the first batch of 22 trainees, who have commenced a two-month specialised training programme at the Centre. As part of their practical learning in Solar Energy Technology, the trainees will design and install a solar photovoltaic system for the laboratory itself. The initiative will not only provide them with hands-on experience in renewable energy technologies but will also ensure uninterrupted power supply to the laboratory while promoting green and sustainable energy solutions in line with Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's vision for clean energy development. Addressing the gathering, L-G Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena said that the inauguration of the Centre represented much more than the opening of a modern laboratory, and described it as the beginning of new aspirations, opportunities and a brighter future for the youth of Ladakh. He emphasised that the greatest wealth of any nation lies in its human resource and that every investment made in education and skill development contributes directly to the long-term prosperity of society. The Lieutenant Governor noted that the CoE will provide the youth of Ladakh with industry-relevant skills aligned with the rapidly evolving technological landscape. |
