SAMBA, July 10: Intensifying its drive against drug smugglers and peddlers under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, Samba Police has arrested a drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal and recovered approximately 1.720 kilograms poppy straw-like substance from his possession.
A Police team of Police Station Ghagwal during vehicle checking naka at Y-Junction Ghagwal, intercepted a Scooty Activa bearing registration No. JK08E-5756 which was coming from Harsath side and moving towards Ghagwal. During search and checking, approximately 1.720 KGs of poppy straw-like substance was recovered from the possession of the rider.
The drug peddler identified as Anil Kumar S/o Lohari Mal R/o Harsath, Ghagwal has been arrested and the contraband item along with Scooty has also been seized.
A case FIR No 70/2026 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Ghagwal and investigation started. |
