Early Times Report
SAMBA, July 10: In a proactive move to strengthen the security grid, Samba Police conducted a comprehensive Search and Cordon Operation (CASO) coupled with an Area Domination Exercise in the sensitive areas of Nonath Khad, Ghagwal including the adjoining railway track.
The operation was led by the Addl. SP Samba and was carried out jointly by teams of SOG Samba, CRPF 93rd Bn. and the Railway Police. The coordinated exercise was aimed at preventing any anti-national or unlawful activities and maintaining a robust security grid in the district.
During the operation, the entire area was thoroughly sanitized with security personnel conducting meticulous searches of vulnerable locations. A Search and Cordon Operation (CASO) was also conducted in an abandoned building located in the area. The premises were searched meticulously by the joint teams to eliminate the possibility of its misuse by anti-social or anti-national elements.
The railway track passing through the area was also thoroughly sanitized in close coordination with the Railway Police to ensure its safety and security.
Following the completion of the operation, the police personnel deployed along NHW-44 for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra security duties were also extensively briefed. The deployed force was directed to maintain a high level of vigilance, remain alert to any suspicious movement and ensure that no vehicles are allowed to be parked on NHW-44, as unauthorized parking may pose security concerns during the pilgrimage. Samba Police remains committed to maintaining a strong security framework through regular area domination exercises, CASOs and close coordination with all security agencies to ensure a safe, secure and peaceful environment for everyone.
