Early Times Report GANDERBAL, July 11: Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Ganderbal, who is also holding the additional charge of District Legal Services Authority, Bandipora, Sheikh Babar Hussain today convened a virtual meeting to review the implementation of the 'Pragya' Scholarship Scheme and discuss the identification of vulnerable girl students eligible for scholarship assistance. The meeting was attended by all Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) of District Legal Services Authorities, Ganderbal and Bandipora. During the meeting, the Secretary highlighted the objectives of the 'Pragya' Scholarship Scheme, stating that it aims to provide financial assistance to vulnerable girl students to enable them to continue their education. He informed that the scheme covers girl students who have lost both parents, those who have lost the bread-winning parent, girls with physical disabilities whose parents are unable to support their education, girls whose fathers are in jail and whose mothers are not earning enough to support their education, tribal girls from economically disadvantaged families, and other similarly placed vulnerable girl students. |
