| Indoor shooting range inaugurated | | | Early times Report
Udhampur, June 12
In order to promote shooting as a sport amongst all ranks and to identify young talent, a 10 metres indoor shooting range was constructed at Udhampur.
Defence spokesperson Northern Command told that the range was inaugurated by Lt Gen PC Bharadwaj PVSM, AVSM, VrC, SC, VSM, GOC-in-C Northern Command. He said this range will provide facilities for beginners to develop shooting skills and also train advanced shooters for national and international competitions. ‘The range is equipped with state of art target trolley system. Imported weapons used for international competitions like Morni compressed air pistols and Fienwerkbau compressed air rifles similar to the ones used by Abhinav Bindra at the Bejing Olympics, are available to the users, he said.
