05 Days civil defence basic training course concluded

Jammu, July 18: 05 Days Civil Defence Basic Training Course awareness camp was successfully conducted at KV No. 1 Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, from 14th July to 18th July 2026 under the supervision of Dy.SP Tajinder Kour, JKPS, I/C Deputy Controller Civil Defence, Jammu. The programme was coordinated by Sh. Paramjit Kumar, Chief Warden, Civil Defence Jammu and Ms. Meena Agarwal, course coordinator, Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, whose support ensured the successfully conduct of the training programmeSh. R. Vijay Magotra, Dy. Chief Warden Civil Defence, Jammu. The course concluded successfully on 18th July 2026.
During the Five Day training programme, around 200 Students participated enthusiastically. The participants were imparted both theoretical and practical knowledge on Civil Defence, Disaster Management, First Aid, Fire fighting, CPR, Search and Rescue, and other life saving techniques. Live demonstration were also conducted by the Civil Defence team.
Sh. Akash Gupta Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, attended the programme and appreciated the efforts of Civil Defence, Jammu for organizing the training programme. During the course, Sh. Paramjit Kumar Chief Warden and Sh. R. Vijay Magotra Dy. Chief Warden, delivered lectures on the role and responsibility of Civil Defence wardens and volunteers during natural disasters, fires, industrial accidents, road accidents, and other emergency situations as first responders. The course concluded on 18th July 2026 with a vote of thanks and active participation from all trainees.
