| Netball Awareness Camp, Umpire Clinic successfully concludes | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 20: The two-day Netball Awareness Camp and Umpire Clinic concluded successfully on 19th July 2026 at Dogra Ground, Shastri Nagar, Jammu. The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from Netball players from 16 Districts across Jammu & Kashmir. Over the course of two days, players and aspiring umpires received intensive training on rules, officiating standards, game techniques, and sportsmanship. The entire program was conducted under the expert guidance of Mr. Akash Batra, Sher-e-Kashmir Awardee, International Player, International Coach, and International Umpire. His sessions focused on skill development, rule interpretation, and preparing players and officials for competitive Netball at state and National levels. Closing Ceremony The closing ceremony was graced by distinguished guests from the Netball Association of Jammu & Kashmir. Chief Guest: General Secretary, Netball Association of Jammu & Kashmir Guests of Honour: Mr. Mohin Gupta were also present and addressed the participants. Speaking on the occasion, General secretary appreciated the efforts of the organizers and emphasized the importance of such awareness camps for promoting Netball in the region. He congratulated all participants for their dedication and encouraged them to take the sport forward in J&K. Mr. Akash Batra thanked the association and the players for their discipline and commitment throughout the camp. The camp concluded with certificate distribution to participants and umpires, along with a vote of thanks. The Netball Association of J&K reaffirmed its commitment to organizing more such training and awareness programs to identify talent and strengthen the sporting ecosystem in the Union Territory. |
