HC directed Labour Commissioner to consider case of Petitioners

EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, JUNE-12 :- Justice Virender Singh of J&K High Court Jammu Wing in a petition directed Labour Commissioner and others to consider the case of petitioners for junior assistants/ supervisors if they are eligible for the same on the basis of rules governing field.
In the petition filed by Dev Raj & Ors through Adv Ashok Kumar Sharma in which petitioners submitted that they are matriculates and were appointed as class IV employees. The appointment of petitioners was made on September 21, 1988 and May 9, 1994. They become eligible for the post of Supervisors on completion of three years of service. They appeared in type-test for the post of Junior Assistants conducted by Labour Commissioner and Deputy Labour Commissioner Jammu/Srinagar, the result of which was declared on May 29, 2006 as such the petitioners qualified for promotion as Supervisors but they were ignored and filed this petition.
