| APMCC constitutes Harmukt Ganga Trust | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, June 12: All Parties Migrant Coordination Committee (APMCC) has finally lived upto its promise of constituting an exclusive trust for Harmukt Ganga (Gangbal) Yatra by announcing a 15 member trust. In a press statement issued hereAPMCC has said that the trust would look after all the affairs of Harmukt Ganga Yatra (Gangbal) from now onwards as it has been decided to conduct this unique and historic yatra annually and work for the development, conduct and upkeep of the infrastructure and other arrangements of the yatra. It may be recalled that APMCC had organized the first of its kind and historic Gangbal yatra after 100 years to perform Shradha of all the departed souls of Kashmiri Pandits at Harmukt Ganga on June 2. The trust would also look after the upkeep and development of Naraan Nag temple, Krishan Sar, Sukh Naag, Dukh Naag besides other social and religious activities in Kashmir Valley. The trust would be known as Harmukt Ganga Trust and include Dr Rajive Bhat, as Chairman of the trust. Rajive Bhat is a former Additional DC Srinagar and grandson of veteran Kashmiri Pandit reformist Pt Kashyap Bhandu. Other office bearers include CN Kandroo (Educationist) as General Secretary, Advocate Roop Krishan Raina as Legal Advisor, Ravinder Pandita as Ograniser cum Treasurer, Chand Ji Khar (Social Activist) as joint Secretary, Vinod Pandit (Chairman APMCC and founder member of Harmukt Ganga Trust) as Spokesman of the Trust.
