| IHF felicitates SM Bali | | |

JAMMU, June 13: Council of International Handball Federation (IHF) in its XXXII Congress held at Cairo in Egypt felicitated general secretary Handball Federation of India (HFI), S M Bali in recognition of his contribution to international handball.
Bali, who is also president of J&K Handball Association and member State Sports Council, was presented `Badge of Merit in Gold’ by the IHF.
With this distinguished achievement, Bali has brought honour for the country and a name for the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Bali was among representative from10 countries, who have been presented the coveted awards by the president of IHF, Dr Hassan Mustafa.
Bali re-elected VP Commonwealth: General secretary of the Handball Federation of India, S M Bali has been re-elected as vice-president of Commonwealth Handball Association in a meeting held at Cairo in Egypt.
In all, 45 Commonwealth countries participated in the election meeting. Bali has been authorized to look after the affairs of Asian contingent freely and independently till 2013.
