| Bali awarded ‘Badge of merit’ | | |

Jammu, June 13- In recognition of his remarkable contribution, S M Bali, secretary general Handball Federation of India and President Jammu and Kashmir Handball Association has been awarded ‘Badge of Merit in Gold’ by the Council of International Handball Federation in its CCCII IHF ordinary congress 2009 held at Cario (Egypt) on June 6.
Bali is the only person from Jammu and Kashmir and India to have received such a prestigious maiden international award in Handball which is not only a great honour to Bali for the entire country and the handball family as well.
In all 152 countries participated in the said Congress and only 10 nationals from other
Countries were awarded. The awardees were felicitated by Dr. Hassan Mustafa, President Council of the International Handball Federation.
