| Court frames charges against Bank Manger, Ors | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 13: While framing charges against Charanjit Mehra then Manager Bank of Maharastra Branch Trikuta Nagar and other accused namely Rakesh Kumar, Manmohan Singh, Eid Mohd, Vinod Kumar, Joginder Kumar and Bishan Singh u/s 419/ 420/ 66/ 468/ 471/470 and 120-B RPC the 3rd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu R S Jain charged the Bank manager under section 119 of RPC as well.
The challan was actually presented in the Court of Special Mobile Magistrate Passenger Tax on May 18, 2009 who committed the case to the Court of Sessions Jammu as the offence u/s 467 RPC was exclusively traible by the Court of Sessions. Thereafter the case was transferred to 3rd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu and proceedings u/s 512 Cr PC was initiated against accused Angni Dev Raj.
As per the investigation Rakesh Kumar impersonating as SK Sharma Assistant Commander BSF along with Manmohan Singh and Other persons from outside the state after taking their photographs in fake BSF uniform used to make identity card and then from Bank of Maharastra taken loan. On arrest of accused Rakesh and Joginder it was found that accused after getting forged documents and impersonation got the loans fraudulently sanctioned by the Bank of Maharastra Trikuta Nagar. The total thus obtained was to the tune of Rs 28 lakhs. The police after completion of the investigation presented the challan in the Court of law. JNF
