| Police arrests criminal with illegal revolver at Bari Brahmana | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 1: Samba Police has arrested a criminal and recovered an illegal revolver from his possession within the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana during routine patrolling duty.
A police team of Police Station Bari Brahmana, while conducting routine patrolling in the jurisdiction, noticed a suspicious person near JDA Colony Birpur, Bari Brahmana, who was coming from the Data Talab side and moving towards Kikri Morh under suspicious circumstances. On noticing the police party, the said person attempted to flee from the spot. However, the alert cops acted swiftly, chased and successfully intercepted him.
During his personal search, the police recovered one black revolver from his possession. The accused failed to produce any valid licence or legal permission for carrying the revolver.
The accused has been identified as Munna Singh S/o Sandeep Singh R/o Sohal, Akhnoor district Jammu, presently residing at Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana district Samba. The accused was immediately taken into custody and the recovered revolver was seized.
A case FIR No. 232/2026 u/s 3/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana and investigation started. |
