| Special train for Amarnath pilgrims | | |

Jammu, June 13: After receiving good response on low-budget Bharat Darshan, railway authorities have decided to introduce another packaged train meant for Amarnath pilgrims. The new train service is expected to start from June 15 onwards.
The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is all set to introduce a special 15-coach holiday train between Pune and Jammu & Kashmir, which is expected to start from June 20. The service is aimed at helping the pilgrims reach Amarnath pilgrimage via Jammu and Kashmir. According to information, authorities have also decided to enhance several facilities like air-conditioned coaches and better lodging arrangements during the journey. In a first, authorities have decided to add AC coaches to a tourist train. Earlier, tourists travelling in Bharat Darshan trains had to live in shared accommodations or dharamshalas. However, this time the authorities are going to arrange for hotels or tents and also make special arrangements for luxury buses and more security on the train. With this, railway authorities are not just expecting a good response, but also gearing up to provide another train before August. The train will begin from Pune and take its route via Jhansi, Gwalior, Agra, Mathura, Hazrat Nizamudin, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt and Chakki Bank.
