| Kids in exile run for peace | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 14: Sharika foundation, a social organization working for honour and dignity of the girl child and “save motherhood” organized marathon here today. The race took off near Jammu University at 6AM. The theme of the marathon was reconciliation with honour and peace. Large number of people from all walks of life participated in the event. As per press release, the organizers said that the more morality and decency and virtue are in the world while wars and hatred towards each other are consequences of a moral rebellion, and are the result of egotism and selfishness. Every war and signs of hatred is a turbulent ocean made up of confluent streams of millions of little wars and hate inside the minds and hearts of unhappy people. The marathon was organized by those children exiled from the Kashmir valley who, are themselves the victims of conflict and as such, have lost the bliss of childhood. These children wanted that the sufferings they have been undergoing since 1990 should not be the anyone in the world. So through this marathon they wanted to impress upon each and every person around the world that the need of the time is to live in a conflict free world to enjoy life as almighty gave us to enjoy. Those who organized the event were Sanjay Dhar, Bipin Bharti, Monika Bhat, Naveen Raina, Ajay Pandita, Asish, Sonu, Raju, Hamid and Sardar Binu Singh. The organizers thanked the sponsors of the event, namely BIG FM 92.7, Birla Sunlife, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India, Max Dignostics, New Plot, Continental Constructions, Reliance Money and Avinash & Avinash Industrial Consultants, Jammu. The organizers have also criticized the district administration for rendering no co-cooperation and the police for totally ignoring the event.
