Integrated Communication & Outreach Programme launched by CBC

UDHAMPUR, Aug 21: The Integrated Communication & Outreach Programme on Nasha Mukt Bharat, Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita and Flagship Programmes of Government of India, launched by Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, Field Office, Concluded today.
Surinder Kumar Sharma, Naib Tehsildar, Tikri was the Chief Guest where as Mrs. Monika Karlupia acted as Chairperson of the grand Valedictory function.
The function started with the arrival of Chief Guest who inspected the Photo Exhibition specially designed on Nasha Mukt Bharat and Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita. A series of IEC activities like expert lectures, Painting Competition, Theme based Cultural programmes, Open Quiz, Pledge on Nasha Mukt Bharat, round of Photo Exhibition, Question answer session were the attractive Components of the function.
The Chief Guest in his address expressed serious concern over the growing spread of drug addiction and called for collective efforts to protect our youth and nation from its harmful effects. He appreciated the efforts of Central Bureau of Communication for organizing such programmes for the benefit of masses at grassroot level, and said that information and awareness through such programme plays a vital role in curbing the menace of Drug addiction.
On this occasion Resource person from judiciary, Advocate Akhil Dubey delivered a key note address on New Three Criminal Laws. He said that with the induction of these new laws the access to justice has become more easy and accessible.
Sumit PSI from police department acted as resource person and delivered his lecture on Drug addiction. He said that in view of serious challenges posed by Drug addiction collective efforts needs to be made to overcome the problem of Drug Addiction.
Ravi Kanchan, Lect. Physical Education in his address said that the menace of Drug addiction is spreading like a fire and needs to be curbed. He strongly advocated that sports, Yoga, healthy life style and spiritual practices should be adopted in teenage to overcome various physical and mental problems including Drug addiction.
Gurnam Singh, I/C Field Office, Udhampur presented Vote of Thanks and expressed his gratitude to all departments, dignitaries and everyone who extended their cooperation, coordination and support in organizing the Two-day Integrated Communication & Outreach Programme.
