 HYDERABAD, Aug 21: BJP senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP Er. Gulam Ali Khatana welcomed India's record export performance, saying the historic figures reflect the transformative economic vision and decisive leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Er. Gulam Ali Khatana said India's total exports reaching a record $863.1 billion, along with record smartphone exports and strong growth in electronics and services, demonstrate the growing confidence of global investors in India.
"Today, developed economies and even the European Union are looking towards India as a trusted investment and manufacturing destination. New investments are creating opportunities for our youth, entrepreneurs and the next generation. India is no longer merely a market; it is emerging as a global manufacturing and export powerhouse," he said.
He said the expansion of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), rapid growth in electronics manufacturing, rising smartphone exports and strong services exports are strengthening India's position in global trade and opening new avenues for employment, entrepreneurship and economic growth.
"During the Congress rule, India was not taken seriously on the global economic stage. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the world is recognising India's potential and coming here to invest and create opportunities. Modi hai toh mumkin hai," Er. Khatana said.
He further said India's growing export capacity reflects the success of the government's focus on Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat and a globally competitive manufacturing ecosystem, adding that the country is steadily strengthening its position as a trusted partner in global supply chains.
Er. Khatana congratulated the entrepreneurs, exporters, manufacturers, workers and policymakers contributing to India's economic growth and expressed confidence that the country will continue to achieve new milestones in exports, manufacturing and global trade. |
