| Senior BJP leader, family injured in accident | | | Early Times Report
Bhaderwah, June 14: A senior Bhartiy Janta Party leader and his family got serious injuries when a security gypsy in which they were traveling in skidded off the road and fell into 20 feet deep nullaha at Manthala road, just 7 kilometer away from Bhaderwaha here today.The incident occurred when the BJP leader namely Koushal Kumar along with his twelve year daughter Sonam and Personnel Security Officer Narinder was going to his home at Malani from Bhaderwah.Soon after the after the incident they were taken to district hospital where sensing their condition critical they were shifted to GMC hospital Jammu on a private vehicle as a sole ambulance of the hospital has been attached to BDO.It is stated that the BJP leader was himself driving the vehicle as driver of the vehicle was not accompanying him. The condition of the Sonam and PSO is stated to be critical and have been treated in ICU of GMC hospital.Soon after the incident Bhaderwah people protested against the hospital authorities alleging that when ever any accident takes place in Bhaderwah people are forces to hire private vehicles as ambulance allotted to the sub district hospital either has been with hospital doctors or out of order.They urged Union Health Mnister Ghulam Nabi Azad and Chief Minister Omar Abdullaha to intervene into the matter. Pertinent to mention here that Koushal Kumar contested bye election in 2005 against Ghulam Nabi Azad in Bhaderwah but was defeated.
