| Expose ‘misdeeds’ of coalition : PDP to workers | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 15: Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today exhorted its workers to effectively highlight problems of the masses on every platform to expose the misdeeds of Congress-National Conference coalition. Addressing a meeting of the senior workers of party at Jammu to chalk out future programmes including celebration of the foundation day of the party, party leaders called upon the cadre to take message of the party in every part of this region. Today’s meeting was called to apprise the workers about the deliberations which were taken out in the recently held executive committee meeting at Srinagar. Speaking in the meeting senior PDP leader said that during the last five months National Conference-Congress coalition regime has failed to solve problems of the masses. It was pointed out in the meeting the coalition regime has not implemented even a single promise despite being the fact that both National Conference and Congress had befooled the masses during assembly elections with scores of promises. Leaders exhorted the party workers to educate the masses about misdeeds of this coalition regime. They said that during the last five months woes of the people have been compounded manifold due to the wrong policies being adopted by this dispensation. They especially mentioned about shortage of ration in most parts of Jammu region, scarcity of drinking water and power crises. Speakers pointed out that on the one hand human rights violation has been going unabated in the State while on the other hand this coalition failed to solve even day today problem of the masses. It was decided in the meeting to convene a convention of party workers on June 20. Meeting also decided to hold a massive function on July 30 to celebrate foundation day of the party. Those who addressed the meeting included Daman Bhasin, Trilok Singb Bajwa, Rangil Singh, Manjeet Singh, Baldev Singh Slathia, A K Sawhney and others. Senior party leaders Surjeet Kour and Dipinder Kour also present in the meeting.
