Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 24: Government Degree College (GDC) Kunjwani organized an orientation and awareness programme under the Udyam Jagriti 5.0 - College Campaign, being implemented under Mission YUVA, with the objective of promoting entrepreneurship awareness, business acumen and innovative thinking among students. The programme was organized under the able guidance of the Principal, GDC Kunjwani, Dr. Manisha Sarup Kohli, whose leadership and encouragement have consistently facilitated initiatives aimed at enhancing students' career opportunities and entrepreneurial capabilities. The programme witnessed the participation of the team from the District Employment and Counselling Centre (DE&CC), Jammu, which has been entrusted with supporting the implementation of the campaign. The campaign provides students with an opportunity to understand entrepreneurship and the Mission YUVA credit scheme, develop business ideas, and participate in the District-level Hackathon. The session included awareness and guidance regarding entrepreneurship, business idea creation and the opportunities available to young aspiring entrepreneurs. Students were encouraged to identify innovative solutions to real-life challenges and consider entrepreneurship as a viable career pathway. The campaign also provides a structured platform for students to develop and showcase ideas in sectors including Tourism & Hospitality, Handicrafts & Artisan Economy, and Agriculture & Food Processing. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Dr. Manisha Sarup Kohli emphasized the importance of encouraging students to develop an entrepreneurial mindset, identify opportunities and translate innovative ideas into sustainable ventures. She appreciated the efforts of the DE&CC Jammu team for engaging with the students and providing them with valuable guidance. |
