DODA, Aug 26: In a swift and well-coordinated operation, Police Station Doda solved a theft case by arresting the accused and recovering the stolen property. The case was registered on the complaint of Irshad Ahmed, S/o Nizam Din Batt, R/o Beoli, Doda, who reported theft from his residence. Accordingly, FIR No. 238/2026 U/S 331(3)/305 BNS was registered at Police Station Doda and investigation was taken up. Acting promptly, a dedicated police team of Police Station Doda launched an investigation and, through technical surveillance, analysis of CCTV footage and credible human intelligence, succeeded in identifying and apprehending the accused, namely Rubina Begum, W/o Rehmatullah Batt, R/o Beoli, Doda.
During the course of investigation and on the disclosure of the accused, the police recovered one inverter battery and one HP LPG cylinder from another accused, namely Javed Ahmed, S/o Mohd Hanief Khanji, R/o Bhagwah, Doda. The stolen property was recovered and seized in accordance with due legal procedure. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the involvement of the accused in other similar cases and to explore any further links connected with the theft.
