| Kalakote-A wins by 4 wkts in Rajouri cricket | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, June 15: Beating Badhoom MCC XI by four wickets, Kalakote-A today consolidated its position in the ongoing Rajouri District Cricket Tournament organised by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) at Sports Stadium, here.
Sailing on a superb performance from Shakeel (70 off 62 balls, 7x4, 2x6), Badhoom MCC set a competitive total of 178 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 30 overs, which, in reply, Kalakote-A chased in 27.5 overs for the loss of six wickets.
Kaleem also batted well and contributed 33 (4x4) runs while Adrees added 15-ball 15 runs including three boundaries. From Kalakote-A, Arjun Bhardwaj was most successful bowler, who took four wickets for 20 in four overs while Ashu Manhas and Ravinder shared one each.
Batting second, Kalakote-A chased the 179 runs target sparing 2.1 overs of their innings for the loss of six wickets. Ravinder Singh played match winning innings of 53 (off 46 balls, 7x4) runs. Chetan Singh and Amit Khajuria also played well and contributed 31 and 20 runs respectively. Marvhat took two wickets for Badhoom MCC and Rashid bagged one.
For his match winning knock of 53, Ravinder was adjudged man of the match. Today’s match was officiated by Muzammil and Allyas while Imran Hussain was scorer.
