Early Times Report RAMGARH, Aug 31: The Scholarship Committee of Government Degree College (GDC) Ramgarh, in collaboration with the District Social Welfare Office, Samba, organised an awareness camp to sensitise students about scholarship schemes and guide them on the proper procedure for filling and submitting online scholarship applications within the stipulated time. The programme was held under the able guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol, Principal, GDC Ramgarh, and coordinated by Dr. Snobar, Nodal Officer, Scholarship Committee, who welcomed the resource persons from the Social Welfare Department. Addressing the students, Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol appreciated the initiative and emphasised the importance of scholarship schemes in providing financial assistance to eligible students. She encouraged students to remain well-informed about the eligibility criteria, required documents, application procedure, and prescribed deadlines. She urged all eligible students to avail themselves of the benefits of the schemes and complete their applications within the stipulated timeframe. The awareness session was conducted by Ms. Mansi Abrol, Ms. Anita Sharma, and Ms. Sushma Devi from the Social Welfare Department. Ms. Mansi Abrol provided detailed guidance on correctly filling out the online scholarship application form. She explained the necessary instructions to falling under following categories SC, OBC, EBC and DNT students to guide them their documentation, bank account details, and other essential information required for successful submission of the application. The students were particularly sensitised about the need to provide accurate information, upload all requisite documents, ensure proper linkage of Aadhaar and bank account details, and complete the verification process within the prescribed timeline. They were also advised to thoroughly verify their applications before final submission to avoid errors, rejection, or delays in receiving scholarship benefits. |
