JAMMU, Aug 31: Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu hosted The Supreme Courtroom Conclave 2026 under the aegis of its Literary Club, transforming the school campus into an immersive courtroom where young minds explored law, justice, argumentation, logic and ethical reasoning through experiential learning.
The Conclave was graced by Chief Guest Maleeka Sharma, Civil Judge (Senior Division) and Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Jammu, along with distinguished legal luminaries Manpreet Kour, Jasmeet Singh, Burhan Salaria and Tanisha Chandra, Advocates associated with the High Courts of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. The event was also attended by Rohini Aima, Principal-cum-Vice Chairperson; Sunakshi Anand, Director Operations; Harleen Anand, Director Operations, Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua; Avneet Kour Budhraja, Vice Principal; and Radhika Sharma, Coordinator, Senior Wing.
Conceptualised by Pallavi Bhalla, In-charge, Literary Club and Randeep Kour (Law faculty), the Conclave provided students with an authentic courtroom experience, encouraging them to research cases, construct arguments and present their perspectives with confidence and conviction. Students from Srijan International School, Jammu Sanskriti School, Model Academy and HGS, Jammu participated in the case presentations, demonstrating commendable analytical ability, persuasive articulation and courtroom composure.
In the institutional category, Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu secured the 1st Prize - The Supreme Verdict Award, while Model Academy bagged the 2nd Prize - The Gavel of Distinction Award and HGS, Jammu won the 3rd Prize - The Court of Merit Award. Srijan International School received the Consolation Prize.
Individual performances were also recognised, with Ashutosh being adjudged Best Judge, Harjas Best Advocate, Hargun Anand Best Prosecutor, Vidhushi Best Defence Counsel and Angel Best Witness. Addressing the gathering, Rohini Aima highlighted the importance of experiential learning in nurturing critical thinking, responsible reasoning and integrity among students. Honourable Judge Maleeka Sharma appreciated the participants for their preparation, confidence and courtroom presence, while the visiting legal experts commended their analytical depth, articulation and intellectual agility.
The successful conduct of the Conclave was supported by the CCA In-charges, Art, Music and Dance Departments and the entire support team. The initiative reflected the shared vision of Rohini Aima to provide students with meaningful platforms that go beyond conventional classroom learning and foster confident, responsible and ethical young citizens to foster and play a crucial role in creating a just society.
