| MANUU organizes seminar on teacher responsibility | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 16: A day long seminar on the topic: Teacher: Expectations & Responsibilities in the context of Modern day” was organized by Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad, through its sub regional centre, here today. Prof. K.R. Iqbal Ahmed, vice chancellor, was the chief guest on the occasion, while MLA Shabir Ahmed Khan, presided over the function. B.Ed counselors & large number of MANUU B.Ed. students attended the seminar. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Javed Qudoos said that it is a golden opportunity for students who are pursuing B.Ed. in Urdu medium through MANUU as they have to teach in Urdu in their respective schools. And these teachers can show better performances. Prof. Mohd Assadullah Wani in his address said, that though Urdu is the Official language of the state but it is not getting its due provisions, but the services of Maulana Azad National Urdu University for Urdu is highly appreciable. In his welcoming address Dr. Abdul Ghani, Asstt, Regional Director, MANUU threw light on the performance and advancement of the University. He said the development and growth, which the university has achieved in a little period of time makes it distinct and matchless and MLA appreciated the MANUU for rendering its service in the field of education providing education in Urdu medium at door step of the learners. Vice Chancellor, Prof Ahmed, speaking on the occasion said that MANUU has growing day by day and now it has its centers abroad having thousands of students doing various MANUU courses. He said all the distance mode courses offered by MANUU are approved by Distance Education Council. Recently it has been accredited with “A” Grade by NAAC.
