Early Times Report
Jammu, Jun 16: Duty Magistrate Jammu Sudesh Sharma today rejected the bail application of two employees of Jammu Municipal Corporation, Amarjeet Singh and Anoop, who attacked one Parasram, a retired employee of JMC, with an intention to kill him on previous enmity.
After hearing both the sides, Duty Magistrate observed that from the perusal of the record it transpires that the accused persons attacked Parasram and as a result of which he became unconscious and till date he is in hospital and is not in a position to give his statement. FIR was registered on the statement of Madan Lal eye-witness in the case. However, the statement of injured Parasram has not been recorded till date due to his being unconscious. The Court observed that the charges against the accused persons are serious in nature and the injured is still in the hospital as such the bail application is premature at this stage and hence dismissed. According to police report on June 11, 2009 an altercation took place between Parasram retired employee of Municipal Committee with Anoop and Amarjeet Singh, employees of JMC on the basis of previous enmity. Upon the intervention of the other staff members, the matter was resolved on spot and accused persons with criminal intention left the spot. However the alleged accused attacked Parasram in presence of Madan Lal when they stopped their scooter and dragged him from the scooter and threw him on the ground as a result of which blood starting oozing from ear and nose and felt unconscious on spot. The accused also beat Madan Lal with fists and blows. Upon this Madan Lal started raising hue and cry and the accused persons managed to flee away from spot.
