| KP Youth to highlight community issues through stage show | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jun 16- A group of displaced Kashmiri Pandit youth will stage a play in Jammu to highlight the problems being faced by the community during the last 20 years of migration. The play is scheduled to be staged in Jammu on June 22 at Abhinav Theatre. “Chopayer yee gaash” is being directed by Rohit Bhat and Vijay Goswami and has been written by Rakesh Roshan Bhat. The play is being staged under the banner of JSK entertainment by Rohit Bhat, a TV artist who had performed in various serials on Zee TV, Doordarshan and Sony channel. Rohit is winner of ‘ J&K 2004’ contest and has worked as production head as well as acted in popular serials on Zee TV and DD1 TV channels. “With series of plays we want to show the younger generation the effect of migration and conflict in Kashmir on society. It does not include Pandits only but Kashmiri society as while”, said Bhat. He said that apart from staging plays, JSK entertainment aims to promote talent of state in various mediums like theatre, TV, modeling and films. Bhat said that a Kashmiri play based on the current issues of cultural, social, political and identity crisis the Kashmiri Pandit community is faced with will showcase the effect of migration of people. “The play is trying to showcase the miseries of three generations and how each generation is grappling with their own specific set of issues”, he said. “It is trying to convey that there is light and hope at the end of the tunnel and the present turmoil will not last long”, said a KP youth Amit Koul.
